Safeguarding in Sport

Banbridge Angling Club and Angling NI want to take this opportunity to remind all our Club’s members and volunteers of the priority our Club and sport gives to safeguarding all our members. The Club has a Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy and Procedure in place since 2009 and all our volunteers who work directly with children and vulnerable adults have attended appropriate safeguarding training relevant to their role. The governing body for angling in Northern Ireland designated safeguarding officer can be found at www.anglingni.com/club-support//club-policies/safeguardingchild-protection. The Club’s Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy and Procedure can be viewed by downloading it from this website. In addition a hard copy of the Policy and Procedure may be viewed at the Banbridge Angling Club’s Clubrooms, 2a Kiln Lane, Havelock Park, Banbridge. It can also be viewed at the Corbet Lough Boat Attendants’ Office during the angling season (April – October). Parents and guardians are welcome to accompany their children to any of the Club’s events.
