BAC Juvenile and Junior Angler of the Year Prize Distribution Evening and BBQ at Corbet Lough on 25 May 2017

Banbridge Angling Club held the Juvenile and Junior Angler of the Year 2016 Prize Distribution Evening and BBQ at the Corbet Lough on Thursday 25 May 2017. There was a great turnout of anglers, parents, guardians, grandparents and friends. Daniel Moore had a great season in 2016 catching numerous fish at the Corbet. Although he is still a junior angler he won the coveted prize of Juvenile Angler of the Year 2016. Niall Tumelty was 2nd and Ellie Carson was 3rd. In the Junior angler category Adam Morrow won The Junior Angler of the Year 2016 title. This was Adam’s first year fishing these competitions and he also caught some great fish at the Corbet throughout the season. Daniel Moore was 2nd and Benjamin Quigley was 3rd. In addition to the distribution of the prizes Joe McCandless, Joint President and Martin Dynes presented the Club’s annual charity donation to Katrina Leonard from the Southern Area Hospice Services, which is this year’s chosen charity. Keith Cole, APGAI and William Cochrane, Coburns gave the young anglers some casting tuition and fishing tips. Sam Watt, Chair and other committee members gave some of the young anglers a chance to handle a fishing boat on Corbet Lough.
