RETURN OF BOAT FISHING AT CORBET LOUGH

BAC Corbet Lough – Boats at the ready

Dear All,

The good News is that the Club’s Boat fishing facility at Corbet Lough will open for business again on Monday morning 8th June.

The booking of boats for the first days fishing cannot be made prior to Monday 8th June.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic there will be some additional precautionary measures required to ensure the safety of our employees and anglers using the boating facility.

These measures will be monitored and reviewed.  We ask that everyone adheres to these additional requirements and acts in a responsible manner while boat fishing at Corbet Lough.

  • A maximum of two anglers only will be permitted on the boat jetty along with the Boat Lodge Attendant at any time
  • Social Distancing must be observed with a minimum of 2 meters between anglers to be maintained at all times
  • During busy periods anglers are asked to proceed to their boat or from their boat to the Car Park as quickly as possible to avoid congestion
  • Anglers will be responsible for transferring their equipment to and from their boat.  Employees cannot facilitate in this respect.
  • Anglers are not permitted to bring their own engine and battery. 
  • Anglers are encouraged to pay their boating fees by Card payment.  Cash will also be accepted as an alternative.
  • While Club life Jackets will be supplied and sanitized between use, anglers are encouraged to use their own where possible.
  • Boats will be sanitized between hire periods.  Anglers to use either disposable gloves and or recommended anti-bacterial hand gel / sanitizer before and after using the boating equipment.
  • Due to the additional work required by our employees to clean and sanitize the boating equipment together with restrictions on access, boat hire periods have been adjusted temporarily for the months of June, July and August to compensate.

Boat hire periods for June and July will run from 10.00am to 10.00pm

Boat hire periods for August will run from 9.00am to 9.00pm

Boat hire periods for September and October remain unchanged.
