Dear Junior, Juvenile and Senior Club Members,
It is with regret that the club Directors have had to take the hard decision to cancel the forth coming Juvenile Prize giving and BBQ night scheduled for Thursday 27th August 2020, due to the latest local government restrictions which will come into force on Monday next restricting outside gatherings to no more than 15 persons.
In the past prize giving nights have been well supported and we would expect numbers on the whole to exceed our local governments threshold. It is incumbent that the club comply in all respects with the latest Covid-19 regulations and recommendations and we regret any inconvenience caused by this decision.
We can assure our members that as soon as it is reasonably practical to do so this event will take place and our Junior and Juvenile members will be awarded the accolades they deserve following their efforts in the 2019 angling season.
On a side note the Directors were also pushing to recommence formal Committee meetings possibly reconvening in September. Again, in keeping with local government legislation this is not permissible, however the matter will be kept under review and further updates will be provided in due course.
