The boat fly fishing at Corbet Lough commences on Thursday 1 April 2021, subject to the current COVID 19 regulations. The Club has again held the cost of boat hire for the 2021 season at just £3.00 per hour for the boat, electric engine, battery and life jackets. This is tremendous value at just £1.50 per hour for the boat sharing angler. The Club requests anglers not to bring their own electric engines but to bring their own life jackets and to pay by card if possible. These measures are necessary to mitigate against the spread of the virus and to help keep the Boat Attendants and all anglers safe at this time. The Corbet Lough has been fishing very well since the start of the season with a number of anglers catching fish of 3lbs and better. As usual at the start of the boat angling the boats are likely to be in big demand. The Boat Attendants commence on Thursday 1 April and from this date it is suggested that anglers wishing to book a boat should contact the Boat Attendants’ Office on 028 4062 5039 or 075 9102 7557 in advance to avoid disappontment. The more occasional angler and the visiting angler can also purchase Day Tickets for Corbet Lough and the Club’s stretch of the River Bann from the Boat Attendants Office. You can also purchase the Club’s fishing ‘baseball’ caps and enamel badges from the Boat Attendants’ Office.
