The Club can confirm that the boat angling will reopen at the Corbet Lough from Thursday 2 April 2026. In addition to the normal Boat Angling rules and Corbet Lough rules boat anglers should note the following:
A. The boat hire rate will remain at £4 per hour per boat. There will also be a special deal rate of 6 hours for £20. Any hours in excess of the 6 hours will be charged at £4 per hour. The Club currently only holds a very limited number of electric engines, batteries and life jackets. Therefore anglers should bring their own electric engine, battery and lifejacket. All boat hire charges must be paid prior to commencing fishing. There will be no refunds except in exceptional circumstances. (Refunds can only be authorised by the Committee.)
B. The boats will only be charged in full hour slots i.e. 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours etc. Therefore if you are out in the boat for 1.5hrs you will be charged for a 2 hour slot (£8).
C. Boat angling will be available 4 days per week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from 2 April until 31 October. The opening hours will depend on the month and can be confirmed by contacting the Boat Attendants at the Corbet Lough. Anglers should note that the Boat Attendants have the authority to made any necessary adjustments to the boating hours to take account of both their own and the angler’s health and safety.
D. Occasional and visiting anglers can also purchase Corbet Lough and River Bann Day Tickets from the Boat Attendants’ Office at the Corbet Lough.
The boat angling at the Corbet is a bespoke and unique angling facility for members, occasional and visiting anglers. It is important that anglers continue to support and use this facility by regularly going for a few hours boat fishing at the Corbet to ensure that the Club can continue to provide boat angling at the Corbet into the future.
All anglers must be courteous and respectful towards the Club’s Boat Attendants.
