As part of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council\u2019s (ABC Council) getactiveabc Kids Shake up to Summer 19 Programme, ABC Council, with the support of Banbridge Angling Club, is running a kids \u2018Introduction to Angling Programme\u2019 on Monday 29 July and Tuesday 30 July at the Corbet Lough. There are two sessions each day from 9:30am \u2013 12:30pm and 1:30pm \u2013 4:30pm. The sessions, which will be delivered by professional angling coaches, are free. The sessions will cover: Rod Assembly; Fly Selection; Casting; Playing Fish; Landing Fish; and Releasing Fish. The participants will spend most of the session fishing and it will be fly fishing only. All the equipement will be provided and those who have not previously registered with the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) will receive a free game fishing rod license.
