\"\" — BAC \u2013 The Corbet Lough Open Boat Fly Fishing Competition 2022. Club Directors Sam Grant, Joe Curran and Sam Watt present a donation of \u00a3500 to Janae McCartan, Alzhemier\u2019s Society at the Corbet Lough on Thursday 11 August 2022.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
On Saturday 25 June Banbridge Angling Club held the Corbet Lough Open Boat Fly Fishing Competition 2022 in aid of two nominated charities, the Alzheimer\u2019s Society and the Ukraine Crisis Fund. The Competition was a great success attracting an entry field of 30 anglers. The Competition also received tremendous support and generous donations from local businesses and individuals. The Competition, <\/strong>along with a \u2018make-up\u2019 donation from Banbridge Angling Club, raised a fantastic \u00a31,000 to be divided equally between the Alzheimer\u2019s Society and the Ukraine Crisis Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thursday 11 August Janae McCartan from the Alzheimer\u2019s Society visited the Corbet Lough where 3 of the Club\u2019s Directors Sam Grant, Joe Curran and Sam Watt, presented Janae with a cheque for \u00a3500 for the Alzheimer\u2019s Society. Janae advised that the Alzheimer\u2019s Society is a care and research charity for people with dementia, their families and their carers. The funding is crucial to help the Society to fund essential research and to provide support, assistance and advice.\u00a0Janae expressed her own and the Society\u2019s gratitude and appreciation for the great fundraising donation. She also thanked the Club for helping to raise awareness about the Alzheimer\u2019s Society and dementia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
