The Club held the Adult and Junior 2023 Prize Distribution Evening at the Corbet Lough on Thursday 13 June 2024. There was a very good turn of the Club’s competition prize winners. Sam Watt, Club Chairman and Joe Curran, Secretary undertook the presentations on the evening.
Joe Curran presented the prizes to all the anglers with the key presentations being to Kevin Conwell, Adult Angler of the Year 2023 and Xavier Mackle, Junior Angler of the Year 2023. Sam Watt made the Club’s presenation of a £200 donation to Trez Dennison from the RNLI. A RNLI represenatative attended the Clubrooms earlier in the season to provide very helpful guidance and advice about the maintenance, upkeep and usage of angler’s lifejackets.
After the presentations everyone was treated to a great BBQ supper which was prepared and served up by Henry McKnight and Angeline Johnston.
Congratulations to Kevin and Xavier. Thanks to Angeline and Henry for the BBQ and to everyone who turned up for the Prize Distribution Evening. A special thank you to Damian Murtagh, Competition Secretary who organises the Club’s Adult, Juvenile and Junior competitions throughout the angling season. Thank you also to all the anglers who continue to turn out to the different competitions. We would love to see many more young anglers coming along to the competitions.
