The Club’s Fly Tying Class for 2024/25 concluded on Wednesday 26 February 2025. There was a great turn out of tyers and Wednesday evening was their opportunity to demonstrate the skills that they have been learning over the winter months. All the tyers produced some excellent flies and they were all provided with a selection of tying materials to keep them tying until the Classes resume again next November. The results of the tying competition were as follows:
Under 21yrs tyers – 1st Jamie Cooper
Over 21yrs tyers – 1st Sean Stephens
Best Overall tyer on the evening – Josh Smyth
Congratulations to Josh, Sean, Jamie and all the tyers. The Club thanks William, Keith, Stevie and David for organising and running these very successful Classes each week. The Club also thanks Geoff and George for seving up the tea, coffee and biscuits each week.
