
On Tuesday 15 July Eugene Curran, Patrick Curran and Brendan Downey from Banbridge Angling Club made a presentation of £100 to Air Ambulance NI. This money was raised by the Club’s Competition anglers during the 2024 season and topped up by the Angling Club.
Air Ambulance NI works in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service to provide the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for the region. Serious or life-threatening situations can happen to anyone and on average two individuals in Northern Ireland find thenselves in critical need of the Air Ambulance every day. The Air Ambulance carries a crew compiling of a pilot, doctor and paramedic. They operate every day of the year for twelve hours each day. The Air Ambulance can respond to any incident in Northern Ireland in about 25 minutes and the rapid response is vital in an emergency situation. It takes £3m each year to keep the Air Ambulance service operational. Air Ambulance NI counts on the tremondous support of the public.
