The Club’s annual Juvenile and Junior Prize Distribution Evening was held at the Corbet Lough on Thursday 31 May 2018. There was a great turn out with at least 30 juvenile and junior anglers in attendance on such a wonderful sunny evening. A big congratulations to the Juvenile and Junior Anglers of the Year, Daniel Moore and Daniel Dynes respectively along with all the rest of the prize winners. A special thank you to everyone who helped in the organisation and on the evening: Geoff Hylands, Damian Murtagh, Brendan Downey, Sam Watt, Henry McKnight, Imogen Johnston, Joe Curran, Malachy McAleenan, William Cochrane, David McCreedy, Wilson Clinghan and our Club Joint President Joe McCandeless for presenting the prizes and of course the Banbridge Angling Club’s committee for supporting and developing our youth base. Geoff, Damian, Henry and Joe put on a fantastic BBQ and William Cochrane ran a great casting competition and fun event. Thank you to parents, grandparents, guardians, carers and family members as without you these kids would not be able to enjoy the sport of angling. During the prize evening the Club also presented a cheque for £100 to Kim Colhoun from the Chest, Heart and Stroke Association. Finally and most importantly thank you to all the young anglers who turn out to the different competitions. We would love to see many more young anglers coming along to these competitions. The full details of all the Juvenile and Junior competitions is in the Club’s Competition Sheet 2018.
