The Corbet Lough and the Club’s stretch of the River Bann open for angling on Friday 1st March.

Angling at the Corbet Lough is restricted to shore angling only during the month of March. Anglers fishing the Lough must stick to the shore and not use any private property to access the Lough. Anglers should ensure that they are aware of the Corbet Lough and the River Bann Rules for the 2024 season. These are detailed on this website and the Club’s 2024 Competitions news sheet. It is also likely that Club and DAERA Bailiffs will be present at the Lough and the River and all anglers must be courteous and co-operative.

The Club’s first competitions in the 2024 season are for the Bobby Blakley Cup (Adults) and the Joe Curran Cup (Juveniles) at the Corbet Lough on Saturday 2nd March. Anglers intending to fish the competitions in 2024 should make themselves aware of the entry fee and competition rules for the 2024 season.

Occasional and visiting anglers wishing to fish the Corbet Lough or the Club’s stretch of the River Bann should note that during the month of March 2024 that Day Tickets will only be available to purchase from the Ballydown Petrol Station and Spar Shop, Castlewellan Road, Banbridge (P: 028 4066 2776).

Tight Lines for 2024.
