On Friday 31 January 2020 the Club held its annual Dinner Dance and Adult Prize Distribution in the Anglers Rest, Corbet. This was a very successful event with a very good turn out of anglers, riparian owners and friends of the Club. Damian Murtagh, Competition Secretary, assisted by Sam Watt and William Cochrane organised and compered the Prize Distribution. The prizes were presented on the evening by Special Guest Clare Flack. Geoff Hylands took the top accolade of Angler of the Year 2019. Although Geoff is a former winner of the World Cup on Lough Mask, this is the first occasion that he has won the Club’s prestigious title of Adult Angler of the Year. Indeed this is the first year that Geoff has been able to focus on the Club’s competitions and he won competitions on both the River Bann and Corbet Lough. It was Geoff’s consistency that saw him take the title as he was in the top three in most of the competitions. On behalf of the Club, Sam and Damian thanked the Anglers Rest for serving a fantastic meal and providing a great setting for this event. They also thanked ‘Bespoke’ for the brilliant entertainment and Special Guest Clare Flack for presenting the prizes.
