Banbridge Angling Club is delighted to announce that it will be holding an Open Boat Fly Fishing Competition at the Corbet Lough during May and June 2022. The competition will be fished over 4 heats with the top 4 anglers in each heat qualifying to fish in the grand final on Saturday 25 June 2022. There are some fantastic prizes on offer with a total prize pot in excess of £2,500. The overall winner will receive 1st prize of £500, 2nd place will receive £300 + Kindale Voucher for £50 and 3rd place will receive £200 + Kindale Voucher for £50. Indeed there are 9 great prizes to fish for in the final. In addition the winner of each heat will receive a £25 Tackle Voucher, 2nd place will receive a £20 Tackle Voucher and the other two qualifiers in each heat will receive a £20 Corbet Lough Boat Fishing Voucher. The competition is open to all, members and non-members. The number of anglers in the competition is limited to 80 (4 heats of 20 anglers) and with the entry fee at just £25 it is anticipated that there will be considerable interest in fishing this competition. The closing date for entries is Tuesday 3 May 2022. Entries can only be accepted on the Official Application Form accompanied with the appropriate entry fee. Application Forms can be downloaded from this website www.banbridgeanglingclub.co.uk / News page / Publications page (top document) and printed or collected from the Boat Attendants Office at the Corbet Lough. If the competition is oversubscribed a draw will take place to select the 80 competing anglers. Entries who are not selected will be refunded their entry fee.
A Raffle for some great prizes will also be held over the duration of the competition.
Proceeds from the Competition and the Raffle will be made to the Ukraine Crisis Fund and the Alzheimer’s Society NI.
